A few weeks ago I got myself to work out in the morning. Although, I was working out every day, I wanted something more … you know how the benefits you hear from others stick with you for a long long time.
And I managed to start this morning routine by picking a doable workout and putting the action on a to-do list.
Then, I started thinking: what if I applied the same principles to everything else. So I did…or I am doing.
This 2-step strategy can be used whenever you want to start doing something that you’ve postponed for a long time.
Do you want to eat healthier? Pick a doable plan or a simple change and put it on your to-do list. Maybe you want to exercise daily, read a book, cook something, learn a skill … whatever it is you want to get done, this is the best way to start.
Once you set the intention, the goal and you pick something you know you can achieve, you will begin shaping a new habit.
