Cheating is just that: cheating. It almost makes it better that we’re talking about food. But it actually doesn’t. Because it only makes that meal more appealing to you.
And you could come up with a million reasons why it’s ok to have a cheat meal. Still, a cheat meal could ruin your efforts. I know we’re talking about language here but language has tremendous power.
What to do instead? Have the meal you want once in a while without making such a big deal out of it. Don’t give it more power than it needs. Always remember that you are the one making the choice. Not the food, not someone else, not a circumstance or environment.
What do you want more? You shouldn’t need to come up with excuses for being healthy or for making a choice. When you let go of excuses, that’s when your life changes.
