The Dieting Struggle
If you’ve been dieting and looking for the next big thing in nutrition and weight loss to take the pressure off your busy lifestyle, I can relate to that. Today I connected with a friend from high school and we remembered the times when we would follow fad diets and then assault the supermarkets to get what we’ve been missing out on. Of course, that strategy did not work and we met the yoyo effect full on. And that’s a struggle though now it seems a fun time to think about, I can still feel the emptiness and futility of my fad dieting experience.
And diets may work but not for permanent results and not in the way that you might think.
Diets are not designed for you specifically. They might have worked for some people and they might work for others. But what actually works is designing your own diet.
Strategy 1: Design your own diet.
This is the first solution to getting out of the dieting field: design your own diet. This strategy is easy to implement by following 3 main steps: choose your favorite whole foods, eat them every day and get to know your body. Experimenting with your own preferences will create the best diet for you.
Strategy 2: Focus on something else.
The second solution is to focus on something else. When you focus on weight loss and you don’t see results, you might feel like giving up completely. Whereas when you focus on what you really want to achieve, you then lose weight in the process. You can read more about weight loss as a side effect in this article.
Strategy 3: Make everything fun.
The third solution is to add in a little bit of fun to dieting. Fun is definitely what’s missing from the weight loss world. And you can do that by making your own quests and missions or shifting your perspective to love and enjoy something instead of dread or hate.
